A Snowbird's Plea to All Retired Teachers

After retiring from teaching many years ago and spending winters as a seasonal resident of St. Petersburg, Florida, Pat discovered Pinellas Education Foundation, an independent organization that meaningfully supports the educational needs of students, teachers, and programs in Pinellas County Schools.

At the time, she was searching for a meaningful way to direct a future estate gift, ideally within her local, and as she described it, "adopted" educational community. Through involvement in Pinellas Education Foundation activities and service on various committees, she quickly recognized the depth and impact of the Foundation's work. The programs exceeded her expectations and affirmed their desire to contribute both personally and financially.

That experience led to a lasting commitment: a planned legacy gift to support the Foundation's mission. That commitment has remained in place for more than 25 years.

Pat's Message to Educators: Retired teachers (as well as those who continue in the ranks), please do consider leaving your Legacy to our future generation within the capable hands of The Pinellas Education Foundation and their invaluable programs.
